I knew White would take the last shot. She hasn't seen a shot she doesn't like.

She did that effectively for Illinois this past season

Danger with penetration and kick to Moore who buries another three.

I don't understand why Mariya Moore never sits. I'm not impressed with her overall play, and while she has 3 assists at half, she hasn't scored, she hasn't rebound and she has 2 turnovers. There is much better on the bench, but I'm thinking this is a bone thrown in deference to coach Walz.

Apparently she read this thread.... 2 huge 3pters since.

Keep it comin' guys - and the score & time updates are appreciated as well ! Especially as we're into the 4th now . . .

.-.
Two lucky possessions for Russia followed by Wilson's specialty: getting FT's.

Wilson has that Skylar Diggins way of getting to the line every which way. It's uncanny how often they blow the whistle for her.

.-.
Has anyone else noticed that Levchenko on the Russian team looks, acts, and plays like Caroline Doty?

.-.
Collier is the antithesis of Wilson; she can't get any call in her favor.

I like Dangerfield as a facilitator much more than a shooter

Didn't think of it that way, but I sorta see it.

She's absolutely beasted it out there, with 13 pts / 10 assists /4 st / 1 t.o.

There are several of these Russian players are great!

Ha.... thats what I was thinking earlier

Collier with 10 points, 10 rebounds, 6 steals, 3 assists. She deflected another ball for a steal she wasn't credited for and the early block.

Credit to the posts for carrying the team 0n offense. Even White, who was quite competent today. Credit also for Dangerfield for managing to do good work on what was not necessarily her best day (shootingwise). And Collier, for doing her Collier thing, of course.

Lots of credit to Gabby Ortiz' father (in the stands with the blue t-shirt emblazoned with the American flag, waving the USA flag) who shouted non-stop encouragement to the team amidst a sea of Ruskies. He's like that during NCAA ball, pretty much traveling to every one of his daughter's games. Good dad!

Crystal Dangerfield was running the team down the stretch in the 4th quarter. She was composed running the offense after forcing the ball in the 1st half. It was good to see the Dawn had confidence in Crystal a HS Senior to be to run team with the game on the line. Has to improve her defense a bit though :). She went below screens to leave her player open for wide open 3's.
