Also loved the comment earlier that Breanna and Tuck were two kids who immediately understood the offense and that the coaches wanted at least one of them on the floor at all times.

Score? Or should I not ask?
It was 75-22 after three quarters, after which point, I shut it down...

Breanna and Morgan are really good. Breanna doesn't really have a ceiling at this stage. Not much else to say. Can't wait to watch her career unfold. Especially with a three-year overlap with KML and a four-year overlap with Mo and Morgan.

I think the rest of the NCAA may be "stewed." Damn she's good!

Looks like she changed your opinion of her. You weren't as on board after seeing some other videos.

I think she probably improved since you first saw her.

Couldn't believe how accurate Breanna was with her 3 point shot and she's so smooth when she takes them. Perfect form and outstanding release. Don't see how her 3 point shot gets blocked. She's improved her game tremendously since last year. Have to believe she will get even better when she's around more talented players and gets the conditioning that's required for College Ball.

It will be interesting to see how Baylor decides to play against her. If they decide to put Griner on her, it will definitely open up the middle.

Good gosh. There is no comparison between that sophomore footage and what I saw today. She could play in the WNBA now. I am suggesting that she skip college and jump right to the pros.

I was kinda shocked too after watching her tonight. I may have to change my thoughts on her stats for next year. She may not start, but she will get 25 minutes a game. How can she not?

Kim is going to have her work cut out for her. However, Griner will only be guarding her if Geno plays here at the 5, which I don't see happening.

I am suggesting no more than 15 minutes a game. Don't want to wear the poor girl out in her freshman season.;)

Bree seems to be improving by the week.

I don't exactly recall, but doesn't KM usually prefer the zone with BG in the back of the 2-3? Or do they play M2M more

I have to imagine on defense UCONN will do a lot of double teaming on Griner. we will find out in February how effective Stef will be against her. but by then there will be a lot of time for Bree and the rest of the newbies to get acclimated to the speed, pace, and physicality of WCBB.

you can't play all 5 positions unless you can shoot the long ball and handle the rock like a guard. Some claimed that Parker could, but she could do neither in college. Bree may be the most complete player ever coming out of HS. Maybe not the most hype ever, but most complete all-around player ever. That's my story and i'm sticking to it...

it's hard not to have ridiculously sky-high expectations for her and the rest of the 3-Muskateers. they are ridiculously talented in so many different ways. Having a deep team CAN be over rated but realistically Caroline, Bria, Kelly, KML and Dolson with Moriah, Brianna, Morgan, Bree and Kiah?

someone said that "2nd" team would be ranked in the top 5. if they played each other 10 games, who would win? i think it would be close - 5 wins for each team.

Mulkey rarely uses a zone. Her teams are almost exclusively man to man.

I foresee a lot of complaints about both Bre and Morgan not playing in the post and being too far from the basket.

PREACHER: yeh, well, no surprise that I'll be one of those monitoring just that; and IF either one of 'em spends most of their time out there scoring less effectively than they score down low......or getting their pockets picked out there by smaller quicker kids.....or stumbling around with the ball outside as if it was a hand-held iguana or some other unfamiliar object......then I'll be sure to "complain" about it. An occasional three vs. a stream of gimmee two's underneath doesnt do it for me; nor does an occasional terrific pass vs. more numerous turnovers or breaks in the offensive flow.

That said, I'm not predicting either of these kids (directed by Geno) will show us that kind of nonsensical imbalance.......just rising to your bait. Know how much you bears like dumb salmon.

Now, THAT said, how are your lower extremities at this point? Haven't checked in on you for a bit.

thx for clarification

I would like to see Baylor play zone a bit more. I do not like seeing BG drift so far from the basket to guard the opposing post player and a 1-3-1 would allow BG to stay closer to home with Sims out front. I think that mixing in this defense with the man to man would keep the opposing offense off balance, keep BG in the paint and give BG a little more protection from potential foul trouble.

If Mulkey allows BG to drift out of the lane against UCONN next season like she did in Waco, UCONN is going to get layup after layup with the additional talent that is coming in.

How did Geno handle this issue with Charles? Did she frequently follow the post player out of the paint or was that tactic employed by opponents as much as it is with BG?

Actually, I like salmon because the Omega 3 oil is good for my fur.

Don't help the leg much which is developing some issues from the knee cap alignment and tracking.

Just watched the game. Really wish that Sykes & Mabrey would have stayed in NJ. :p

Me too. I knew her perimeter shot was improving but I had no idea she was so accurate. And those 3s were deep! There's no way she doesn't play 25 mpg next season. It's incredible to think about the options Geno will have next season...at every position.

Understandable. Both were very impressive. Mabrey should fit in well at ND and the style Muffet likes to play. I hope Q doesn't ruin Sykes.

Well we didn't really have room for them, I know we offered Mabrey. Not sure about Sykes though. But after last years guard-heavy class, we needed the class we got.

And AGAIN !!!

Those are just layups. Here is her energy saver 3. What's the point of getting closer to the basket. Just get the rebound and shoot.
