Thanks to pap for the great find. Most of the thread focused on yesterday's game v. Turkey.

For Milford and any other wcbb fan heading over to the Olympics, here is a link to the practice and game schedule from USA Basketball. Fans not attending in person can go to that link for a compilation of game stories, box scores, post game quotes and photos.

On edit: Darn, just noticed practices are closed to the general public. Sorry, all.

Nan--thanks for cleaning up the thread and pinning it.

May I borrow the Boneyard press pass? :D

I'll report on what I see in the 4 games I attend. I'll also try to pick up tix for early rounds on the street. I may be in a pub watching some games.

Is it safe to conclude that ALL our games will be televised?

You need to root around in the NBC website linked in the OP. I looked up the first game and the website says it will be shows live on NBC Connecticut at 11:45 am. I can set Alerts! to remind me of the upcoming game, too.

11:45a - 1:30p
Women's Basketball: USA vs. CRO11:45am - 1:30pmLIVE (ET/CT)
Coached by UConn’s Geno Auriemma, Team USA heads into London looking to become the third team ever to win five consecutive gold medals. Croatia finished second in the Olympic qualifying tournament to reach the Games for the first time.

Can we watch the games on our laptops? Some of us don't have TV!

Every Women's Basketball Game is televised. NBC has set up a special channel, I forget the number on DirecTV. There is also a channel dedicated to showing every soccer game.

NBCSportsHD is what used to be called Versus which itself started out as the Outdoor Life Network. It got rebranded as part of NBC doing some consolidation when the merged with Comcast.

On Direct TV, the BBAll channel is 752. Soccer is 751.

If you have Comcast (and maybe everyone else???) you should have available to watch:

NBC
NBCSports
MSNBC
Olympic Basketball channel
Olympic Soccer Channel

One should be able to find something to watch.

Comcast in Branford also has CNBC and Bravo which have some coverage.
Don't think I get the specialized basketball and soccer with my package.

Apparently Cablevision does not have the special basketball and soccer channels, based on my lengthy search last night. Anyone find these on Cablevision?
