U New Haven Parts Ways With Football Coach

I don't hate this move. That school clearly desires excellence considering recent moves, but since they started making the DII playoffs, there hasn't been much improvement. Second round was the ceiling. Hope they can find a Bob Chesney kind of up-and-comer. Any notable DIII coaches in New England?

I dont like it unless the coach wasn't happy about the D1 transition or maybe there's some issues about how serious they'll treat football? Resources will become a quick problem at the next level

I suppose "right man for the job" does come into question moreso in that recruiting tactics may need to change. Still, I'd rather give a winning incumbent the chance to move the team especially after 10ish years

I almost wonder if Pincince doesn't want to deal with NIL.
Some big name coaches have moved on to retirement or moving to the NFL because of NIL... Not sure of what New Haven has for donors or endowment.

If true, that's a really terrible way to treat a seemingly high achieving employee.
Isn't that similar to how Edsall found out about UConn football becoming an independent?

Don’t schedule them. It did not end well the last time we played.

If we play the way we did back in the Memorial Stadium days of the late 80s early 90s then we've got some serious issues...
