USA's U-19 team crushed Canada 95-40 today in Murcia, Spain. Napheesa Collier led all scorers with 19 points. This one is very special...!!

Go USA..!!

Yay Napheesa and team USA! Anyone have a box score yet? Doesn't appear to be up on USAB yet.

Pheesa 9-12 FG 4 rebs -- in 22 mins
Danger 2-5 FG 5 ast -- in 22 mins

Of all the impressive stats (52-16 halftime score, 55.6 fg%, ...) I found this one the most amazing.
Canada, as a team, 5 defensive rebounds for the entire game.

This reads to me that KLS won't be playing....

Katie Lou Samuelson (Mater Dei H.S./Huntington Beach, Calif.) returned home during the USA’s training camp due to a family issue and will not compete in the Spain U19 International Invitational.

U19 championships are in Russia. KLS is just missing the warmup games in Spain, according to the article.

Will be interesting to see how Spain plays USA tomorrow. Will they play their bench major minutes to not show Team USA what they are capable of, or play to win. USA and Spain play each other 1st in Group play during the World Championship and winner of that game probably wins the group.

That confirms she won't be playing in the exhibitions in Spain which end tomorrow. Doesn't guarantee she won't play in Russia though I'm not real optimistic about it.

The US outrebounded Canada by a ridiculous 52-23 margin for the game. I'm guessing our friends from the North were badly undersized.

Napheesa may threaten Tamika's shooting percentage record. She's pheenomenal!

Whatever the reason KLS had to go home I hope her and her family are going to be ok

Tamika rarely took a shot outside five feet. I'm thinking Collier eventually settles into the high 50's range. If Geno would do more pressing and force more live-ball turnovers, that could go up.

70% may be unrealistic, but 60% might not be. Gabby shot a high percentage this past season. Many of us would "settle" for 55% for Napheesa, which is an amazing thought.
