Great news for Tyrese. How's his fit with their roster right now?

Not 100% sure of the contract details but sounds like it'll be an Exhibit 10 deal
  • Tyrese will work out with the team and go through training camp
  • If they don't want to keep him, they can waive him. If he gets waived, he can still sign with a G League team but G League players in this situation make under 6 figures. There is a financial bonus if he signs with Minnesota's G League affiliate, but not that much. Probably better to go overseas at that point
  • If they kind of want to keep him, they can convert to a 2-way contract, where he will spend most of his time in the G League but is eligible to play in up to 50 games for Minnesota. The minimum contract for 2 way players is around $500k. This is what Sanogo has as well
  • If they really want to keep him, they can sign him to a guaranteed minimum contract for around $1.8M
So his future is in his hands. Good luck Tyrese!
