Typical of ESPN !

For what it's worth, I've had one case where I managed to watch a "blackout" game on ESPN3 by logging into my cable service account online. I guess if you can prove that you've paid for a TV ESPN package, it'll lift the blackout.

I have always been able to watch ESPN3 games with a friend's Comcast login.

So in other words it will be no problem to watch it online. Seems reasonable.

direct tv does not offer espn 3 so I had to pay, worth it for the game but wow do I hate ESPN!

espn3 is online
I believe svet knows that but was having to pay for it because DirecTV doesn't include ESPN3 on the Satellite. If your provider includes it you don't have to pay on the Net.

Fah, fah away as I am, I get Stetson/UCLA. ESPN3 has given me UConn w/o a log in,
but it's watery.

I have Comcast for Internet and DTV for my television. Problem solved.

It's more annoying to me since I live on the west coast. They had the whole game on the alternate channels but only in Idaho and Connecticut. Maybe I could see the whole game if I recorded it but idk.
But they'll show more whole games when the teams get fewer. By the sweet sixteen they'll just show the best teams that are there.

As to the game today, unless you have satelite, you were out of luck, however, both Dish (I believe) and DirecTV had the full games as pay per view (as noted above). Actually, included in my package because I pay for "Full Court" (although these games are all I watch).

Same arrangements for the next 3 days of games. Of course, the UConn game might be the game of choice on the "whip-around".

As to the Sweet 16, all the games are in unique time slots and ALL are on TV, usually a mix of ESPN and ESPN2.

I live in CT and have DirecTV and ESPN2 still had whip around coverage for the first round. I know the game was on as a pay per view for $16, also online on ESPN3, but was the game televised in its entirety on DirecTV anywhere for free?

In Connecticut - yes. Somewhere in the 210, 211 etc channels I suspect, based on what I was seeing on my guide out here in in AZ, where it indicated that those channels were carrying the "in-market" feeds from the full court stations.
Historically, the in market games were on the standard def 209, while the whip-around was on the hi-def, but I didn't see that mentioned above nor when I used the coverage maps to see what games we were taping (quaint word, that).

They should use ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU.

Maybe even the Ocho.

Didnt up to a few years ago, they had games on both ESPN and ESPN2 at the same time ??

Back when the men's tourney was only on CBS... they would try to show the games of conference members.. even if they were the out of state teams. I wish they would do that for the women's tournament. In the later time slots, I am far more interested in seeing Florida State vs Princeton, and Miami vs Iowa, than the other games.

Well that might work for the ACC but ESPN and everyone else has a hard time figuring out what teams exactly are UConn conference members right now...:(

I have satellite on DISH. There was less switching around because all the games I saw today were close at one time or another.

NO.....

An even better rip off from ESPN. I taped the PSU game which was available in PA for full coverage for free but when I went to watch the recording of the game I made last evening after taking someone to the hospital the DVRed version converted to PPV at the usual $16.
