If you saw Maria play the in high school, you would have seen how good she was before UConn. That's why Geno recruited her. She was really freakin good. It seems that everyone else's job on that team was to set a screen for her or get her the ball. She was a lights out shooter.

Yes she was a really good shooter in high school! I scouted her team at least 10 times over her 4 years but she never starts if Nicole Wolfe wasnt injured! Nicole could have been AA. Maria played well in 03-04 because she played next to Diana Taurasi! Dee made that whole team better.

This is why in blowouts it is still crucial for the top players to play and get their minutes rather than worry about the 13/14 and 15th players getting minutes in November.
