Two explosions at the Boston Marathon Finish Line

There are injuries and the medical tents are full of non runner injuries. The explosion occurred about 1 hour after the first finishers.

The nature of the explosions is at the moment still unclear.

There are reports of 2 packages set up against the buildings in the area of the explosions. There maybe as many as three explosions. 1 then 15-20 seconds further down the street.

It was at around the 4 hour mark, so I'm assuming all the main runners had finished.

A third explosion has now been reported after warning from the police to some in the area. It was reportedly identified as a device/bomb. This per CBS production team members on the scene.

Clearly "facts" are very fluid at the moment.

Yes, I expect so. First explosions was at about 2:50 according to ABC news.

Just talked to my daughter who lives in Dorchester. She was down near the finish line around 2:00 ish watching (definitely not running). But then went home. Thank God.

One bad thing because of Marathon, lots of people in the area. One good thing because of the Marathon plenty of medical personnel in the immediate area.

Well she had texted me earlier this morning she was watching the Boston Marathon, I didn't know where she was watching it though (I thought maybe on TV, didn't really think much about it). I know she does work sometimes down on Newberry Street.

Yes, I suspect those will be the one's with the gravest injuries and the majority of them.

Police spokesman with Devil Patrick said there was an explosion at JFK Library.

JFK Library explosion was just confirmed by Boston PD.

My local news is reporting injuries up in the 60's. They have a couple reporters out in Boston.

Looks like Bruins game is cancelled now.

nothing at JFK Library... a minor fire that had nothing to do with the explosions

Now reporting up to 100 injured.

God Bless Boston's emergency responders and the area hospitals. They are heros of the first order.
