1. Hawkins defense was outstanding last night. Impressive on the ball guarding and some high leaping rebounds.

2. Sanogo's passings is coming around. The coaching staff is working hard on what was an obvious problem earlier this year.

Sanogo and Whaley made 4 passes tonight that they weren't making all year. They all led to points being scored. We need them to be able to do that every game. The offense flows a lot better with those slip screen or backdoor cut passes from Whaley when he has the ball on the perimeter.

i have to disagree with the whaley point -- they run that play for a cole backdoor cut basically once a game, and whaley has made the pass successfully at least three or four times this season. he's a really good passer for his size (see: all of the high-low stuff with sanogo).

i have been incredibly impressed with sanogo's development, though. he is clearly looking to pass when doubled and the other guys paid it off in a couple of big ways last night.

I thought the execution in the 2nd half was just impressive. Every time Hall made a push Huskies hit tough shots. Patient passing, not taking the first shot just because it was there but working for that better shot.

Oh, and blistering D.

But just good execution down the stretch.

Whaley has made that back door pass to RJ for like 4-5 consecutive games.

Whaley's vision is great. Sometimes he forces the issue and tries to pass it into Sanogo when it's not quite there. I saw an improvement overall with the entire starting 5 when the entry pass from the left or right side at the 3 point line wasn't there, they did a great job passing around the edge to get the defense to shift over and open up the lane more for Sanogo. It was great to see the poise and high level bball IQ going on last night.

The big games against ranked opponents that are remaining are thankfully at home and we should get some good home cooking for those contests. Exciting to see this team playing well at this time of year.

Sanogo, Cole and Martin are starting to develop some chemistry and synergy. It's a strong trio to have as a nucleus. Hawkins is starting to impose his will and is playing better defense and really looking to rebound as well now that he has some confidence.

Cole drew another charge last night and did a real good job on D staying in front of Richmond. A good win.

Noticed both as well. I’d like to see our shooters do a better job of sliding into Adama’s line of sight, make themselves seen when the double comes. Whaley did a good job of this on that elbow 3 he had. Inside-out is a great way to get open looks against what teams are doing against us defensively. Hawkins was outstanding on defense. Hawkins had a reputation as a plus defender coming out of high school. Would like to see him add some weight this off-season so he can become a little more physical.

If we want to play Sanogo and Whaley at the same time, their ability to pass in/through traffic will be huge for the flow of the offense. We're not a great outside shooting team, and we don't have a ton of guys who can create their own shot off the dribble. Those quick passes lead to easy buckets and big offensive rebounding opportunities, which is what we thrive off of

Now if someone can teach AJ how to shoot a jump shot, we'd improve exponentially
