Through 30 minutes -- i.e., before garbage time -- this is what we posted:

42-point lead
31-48 (64.6%) FG
12-19 (63.2%) 3FG
23 assists to 8 turnovers
32-20 rebounding advantage
11 combined steals & blocks
12 turnovers forced
14-47 (29.8%) FG allowed
12 personal fouls committed

Xavier's a decent team -- 34th in Kempom.

I've been watching UConn basketball for 40 years. This is as dominant a 30 minutes as I can remember us ever having. Ever.

All I can say is TEN Huskies hit a three and Andrew Hurley's three helped UConn tie its all-time high of seventeen made threes in a game.

Also, I thought the Creighton first half was the best defensive half UConn has played all season, but that was obviously thwarted from today's first half effort. Pure. Domination.

Basketball may not have a statistical perfect game like baseball, but I’ll be damned if that wasn’t about a perfect game. Incredible all the way around. Defense on Claude was stellar. And Clingan definitely looking more mobile and like himself. Even got great stuff from Roumoglou and Andrew. Gonna have a smile on my face the whole day.

That's as big a smackdown as I've ever seen against a team not in a crap conference outside the top 200...

I'd give the team a B- today. LOL..

Seriously, what an enjoyable game to watch. Defense was great, offense was great, 3 point shooting - wow. Even Clingan got one!

a million things you can say about this game (showing out for the '04 team, breakout games for our lottery picks, newton dominating) but how about apostolos??
Right? Looked comfortable and confident on the ball, dangerous defensively and lively athletically.

Wouldn't be shocked if he started getting a few rotation minutes at this point.

so happy for that kid. would love to see him stick around and have a samson johnson-esque role next year.
He can play, no idea if he'll stick around but we could do far worse than him as our 9th or 10th rotation guy next year

The Greek would be getting real minutes for a lot of high major programs, he's a player.

I haven’t watched Purdue all year. Are they really on the same level as us when we’re healthy?

Looks like a kid that could really help us next year if he plays defense. Handle, shooting and athleticism all on display. Just a great way to start championship Sunday. Now on to the NFL.
