So, looks like those of us without SNY are out of luck until UConnhuskygames posts it. Sorry, everyone.

No dice. His response: "Ok, so it doesn't look like its [sic] going to be on ESPN at all today. Not sure if it was a schedule change or just confusion but you may be able to contact your cable provider to see if there [sic] showing the game."

Thanks for checking. Surviving on the SMU homer radio broadcast. Not bad actually...

HuskyVision has NO Women's BB TV games listed for the rest of the season. Radio broadcast only. Last week, most of the games were designated for both radio and TV. This must be some sort of a contract issue between UConn and SNY. Too bad they did make us aware of that when I paid for a season subscription.

The media rights in the AAC are all screwy - ESPN owns the overall rights, SNY owns the Uconn WCBB rights as long as ESPN doesn't want the broadcast, ESPN and SNY reached an agreement for ESPN streaming. But then the home team owns the rights to their own court so SNY needs to negotiate with them as well. Who knows what happened today.

Probably between IMG/ESPN/SNY

If you have Direct TV but not the sports package, they have a special- 3 months for free. I called and an watching the game now.

Seems to be an ESPN issue. I contacted UConn to let them know there was a mishap and received this response:

Hi Jim,
Yes, thanks for the note. We reached out to ESPN about a half hour before tip and were told that ESPN made a mistake. Sorry about the inconvenience and I'll check earlier to make sure the game is on ESPN's schedule in the future.

Yet, he said on his public twitter account that ESPN had technical difficulties due to the Storm.

So, for the record, ESPN are indeed lying ba---rds

For those of us who don't have access to SNY and depend on Watch ESPN/ESPN3 to view UConn Women's games, here is the Watch ESPN/ESPN3 schedule, or lack of, for the rest of the regular season:

Not scheduled on Watch ESPN/ESPN3:
1/23/16 at SMU - SNY Broadcast
1/27/16 at Tulsa - SNY Broadcast
2/20/16 at East Carolina - CBS Sports Network Broadcast

As of today, all other regular season games are currently scheduled for viewing on Watch ESPN/ESPN3. These games are produced my by either SNY or ESPN2.

I'll welcome anyone's research about why the SMU, Tulsa and E. Carolina games are not listed on ESPN3.

No, the Snow was a convenient excuse to use by both UConn and ESPN in a public forum instead of admitting that someone made a mistake. Lets see what happens with the Tulsa game on Wednesday.

So, for the record, ESPN are indeed lying ba---rds

Here is the response I received from CBS regarding my inquiry as to why their 2/20/2016 broadcast of the E. Carolina game will not be offered on "Watch ESPN/ESPN3".

College Sports Fan,

Thank you for your inquiry. We have to defer to the individual schools for the content and the products that will be available. Some schools broadcast some of their events in "Audio Only" format. This can be because of licensing issues or because of equipment limitations. In this case, this includes UConn women's basketball because a majority of the school's basketball games are nationally televised events and we do not own exclusive video rights to these nationally televised games. We will offer whatever the school decides to deliver to us. The icon to the right of the event should indicate the Audio/Video format. Please check the event schedule to see if the broadcast is audio only or you can simply give us a call at 1-800-781-9444, 8am to 2am EST.

I'm confused if the ECU game is a CBS Sports telecast, then I would presume game would not be avail on ESPN3. Just like I don't think most/all NBC Sports telecasts are not avail on ESPN3. Is the game being broadcasted by CBS Sports?

I dont understand why/how ESPN can show the Uconn- SMU highlights on ESPN 3 but not post the video of the complete game to the site. Its not that hard to do. Can someone else post it to the blog please?

Good news for those not seeing games on ESPN ...I think.

UConn/ESPN working on streaming issues

There has been plenty of communication between UConn athletic department personnel and those in the programming department at ESPN since Saturday with Neil Eskin, UConn's Senior Associate Director of Athletics, taking the lead on UConn's end. UConn has been assured that this is an isolated incident and all future SNY games will be available on ESPN3 (unless you live in the SNY broadcast area).

Wednesday's Tulsa game is not currently on the list of games carried on ESPN3 on Wednesday night but earlier today UConn received confirmation from ESPN that the Tulsa game and all the other games shown on SNY or any of the ESPN stations will be available on ESPN3.

ESPN has been laying off hundreds of employees in Bristol. In my experience. when that happens it's the suport level workers who are let go. These are the people do all the little things like creating the streaming schedule and keeping the boxscores updated. Middle managers, who decide who goes, usually have little clue as to what everyone is responsible for maintaining and only discover it when things break down. If you use the ESPN box scores you have noticed that they are erratic. Saturday, the UConn box score disappeared several times. I've seen this all season on games all over the country. And it was happening during the baseball season. I wouldn't be surprised if the system ESPN uses has been updated and patched many times and that the people who kept it operating either left or were let go. The same thing happened in the last place I worked. The guy who developed and modified the main frame system for 20 years retired and the agency was forced to hire him as a consultant whenever something went wrong because he was the only one who could make sense of all the "string and bubblegum" patches that filled the programing. I wouldn't be surprised if ESPN was having similar problems.

Woohoo! (Whew!)

Update: Wednesday's Tulsa game IS now on ESPN3's list of upcoming games. So it appears the issue has been resolved.

Not finding it on ESPN overflow channels in FL either.
