Ok. Here is some real update on the TV deal.

BE is expecting $15M to $17M per school for the new TV contract. I predicted $15M+ when this started. Hopefully, it will come true. If it is true, there is no doubt BE will stay as a major conference going forward.

I have a suspicion that there will be a big variance in that number depending on each school's Tier 3 rights. UConn, Cincinnati, Memphis and Louisville could have big Tier 3 rights for basketball, SMU less so.

That would be pretty decent. But in the comments he said "it might be a stretch" (assuming there's not another commenter sneakily using the name Mark). I posted a question about the split, but I'd guess this is up in the air since they're discussing different packages that would go to different networks.

$15-17 M per school will quiet the naysayers & make Pitt look foolish for leaving. (Remember, their president was working adamantly rejected the initial contract offer before Pitt's carpetbagging was ever announced).
Here's someone who actually putting it in print that the Big East is actively pursuing BYU. Is BYU in the catbird seat? The Big East wants them, But if the Big-12 should decide to expand to an actual 12 team conference, the Cougars seem like a natural fit & for all sports.

If we get $17 mil a school, I'd be impressed. That would instantly change perception.

Unless he changed the post this is not even close to what it says.

It says they are hoping for 15-17 million. That's quite different than expecting.
