Apparently it was something in the air. Castle had 7 TOs for the Spurs last night, too

He didn’t play well but OKC is so hard to play against. He still made some big plays and it’s obvious the organization believes in him. That is a game he will grow from. He guarded SGA a lot who may be the hardest one on one player to guard in the world and then he also went against some of the best on-ball defenders in the league.

Castle was clutch, he also getting game planned especially with no Wemby and it was OKC.

He is in at the end of games. That tell you what the Spurs think of him.
I always say, it's not who starts the game, it's who's on the court late in a close game. Starting is overrated.

Spurs were missing their top 3 scoring options and OKC is stifling on D even without Chet. Castle could have completely wilted like a typical rookie, but still hung in there and made the best of a not great game. And made a game-clinching block on one of the best players in the league. He'll be fine.

They won without Wemby against OKC, Steph had a rough box score but was plus 15. I’d call that a pretty good takeaway.

Spurs now 7-8. So far...better than last year....better enough to make playoffs?

SC does so many things off the ball that will help any team without having a gaudy box score. He is not a 20+ pts every night scorer and may never be. But, barring any serious injury, he will be in the league a very long time.

Steph is playing these teams for the first time in his first rotation of games through the League. Learning on the fly and playing at closing time. Spurs are playing the long game with him-as they should. Gonna be playing in the All-Star game sooner rather than later. He'll be fine.

Obviously not a great game but that OKC lineup is hell to play against. They switch 1-5 seamlessly with elite defenders everywhere.
