Can you etch "EF FHCPP" in each upright? Our Company just pick up the Football goal post, We are fixing the welds on the hinge and re-powder coating them to look like new. I am the Project Manager for this, so I should have them back on the field in a week.
Did i miss something? Is the field being switched to Field Turf? Or did the thread title throw me off a bit?

We keep real grass for all you soccer lovers, to our detriment. God Forbid we cannot host some obscure Euro trash "football" club in East Hartford.

Even last year by Halloween the field looked pretty ratty and slippery. I say give the team the best chance of performing.

Nah, the fact that UCF was a bunch of quitters won that game for us.The field was our secret weapon vs UCF

The reason they moved the CT HS Finals to Arute had to do with green but it wasn't the grass. They were losing their shirts @ the Rent.... we cannot host HS championships in early Dec because we have grass.
Ansonia/Xavier/Hand et al certainly trumps These soccer teams. Yes?
To Medic: The reason was not money, it was the field. With turf you are guaranteed to play in Dec and safer for kids. It was not that they "were losing their shirts". Plus it's a state run facility.
Alum to be polite and respond I will say you are misguided by your dislike for soccer. It is simple fact the soccer games attract anywhere from 25,000 to a full house. Many of the HS football games could not attract 5G. Again to be fair I will leave links also supporting field condition arguments which do not concern me as both teams are playing on the same field, just like in the rain or snow. It simply was not the main reason. To Medic: The reason was not money, it was the field. With turf you are guaranteed to play in Dec and safer for kids. Being a realist I doubt it comes in my lifetime....

I am not asking you or anyone to like soccer but do realize it is all about revenue as medic stated above. Same reason we have to pay $15.oo to park in a field. In support of your enthusiasm for high school ball I too hope it gets to the point where Arute Field @ 5800 is overwhelmed.Being a realist I doubt it comes in my lifetime....
