Tunes you digging right now

Karl Denson. Any tune, any time. Especially the stuff with the late great Melvin Sparks. Or something from @August_West but he never plays fairfield county anymore

"Rock On" popped into my head so I had to search it up

That was my first favorite rock song! Dream On was my second.

Been a fan of Phoebe since lock down, but heard this 2018 cover of “Friday I’m in Love” earlier this week and very much a fan. The piano chord shift from “Thursday, never looking back” is chilling!

Another song on the Sirius/XM Spectrum channel playlist that is catchy and has me singing this all day

I love this band, definitely a rabbit hole worth heading down. Half the City is an awesome album and Alien Coast is probably my favorite tune by them.

Had the urge to search up Stevie Nicks since she just played the PBA. I believe 2 of her backup singers are Sharon Celani and Lori Perry-Nicks, from my research. The one closest to Stevie really caught my attention. Should bring you to the 33:38 mark of Stand Back

I’ve been on a Magnetic Fields kick lately and their 69 Love Songs album is an entire journey, but one of my favorites:

Song above and this song I've been digging lately.

Wolf Alice have been churning out quality music for quite a while. Sound has changed some over the years. They're not exactly obscure, but not exactly a big name either. I think their shows tend to sell out, although they aren't playing huge venues.

RIP Raul..... Raul Malo, the golden voiced leader of the Mavericks passed away last night after an 18 month battle with cancer. During the past decade, we went to see his band every summer during their stop at The Indian Ranch in Webster, MA where this video was filmed. The last time there was in 2024. They were to open for Dwight Yoakam at Westville Music Bowl in Sept but had to pull out last minute due to his health. Even that far along with stage 4 cancer, he wanted to be out there with his brothers for the fans

Dang, I didn't know about his battle with cancer. Really sad to hear of his passing.
