I see Vitale has been dropped to "or" status with Beals and Lemelle is back to returning punts this week.

Hadn't looked at Tulane and their schedule, but when they lose they prefer a blowout to a close one. On paper, looks like a team that rolls over when the going gets tough.

Smart. He has let too many balls fly over his head and bobbled them as well.

Maybe/Maybe Not:

>>Vitale Steps Up

Punt returner Brian Lemelle (lower extremity) is likely out again, meaning junior Nick Vitale is in. The last time Vitale fielded a punt he muffed it, twice, in the third quarter Friday. Josh Marriner pounced on it at the 10 to keep it from rolling more.

"You have to be aggressive, of course, and like we talked about earlier, deny roll yardage," Vitale said. "I was trying to deny roll yardage but I got a slow jump off the ball and as soon as I got underneath it I knew I was one step ahead. If I had one step back I would have been right there but these things happen."

Vitale said he has to have the same mind-set as a cornerback who gets burned for a touchdown early or a quarterback who throws an interception. "You have to have a short memory. Look at what [UConn quarterback Bryant Shirreffs] did. He threw an interception [for a touchdown] early, stayed with it, threw a touchdown and helped our team win. I'll be out there catching punts."<<

Deny roll yardage? That's heady stuff for a punt returner.

Sprint to get under the ball. Set your feet. Catch it.

Cole Ormsby not on the two deep at DE....did I miss something? Is he hurt?
