DaddyChoc, were you just being nostalgic with this post? Many/most of us already knew about Morgan's & Kia's performance in this game. It launched Morgan into consideration for AA honors and she was named AAC player of the week. Muffet McGraw said Tuck's big day was hard-earned, calling her "the difference in the game".was awesome and Stokes with her rebounds. Moriah fouled out.
Yeah DaddyChoc , I go back and look at last season's games from time to time myself. What a great season the team had. Makes you smile and dream of what could come this season. I dream of it but I don't dare mention it on this board........Because I know CoCo would slap me around a bit and tell me to Wake Up....LOL .actually just watched it... just impressed, memory refreshed. watching the Cincinnati game now, Gabby's big game... I think!
btw its Kiah, and her dad was at the ND game give her a hi-five when she came out
That was a great one. Watch the reaction of the UCONN bench when Kiah gets the last item needed for the triple-double. That alone was "worth the price of admission".Stokes triple double up next vs East Carolina
same with KML with the 3 pt record... pressing to reach it and get it over withThat was a great one. Watch the reaction of the UCONN bench when Kiah gets the last item needed for the triple-double. That alone was "worth the price of admission".
Side note - I've often heard announcers say that UCONN players aren't aware of "individual statistical achievements". The bench reaction proved that to be wrong. EVERYONE on the team knew how close Kiah was, and they erupted when she got it.

In the 2014 NCAA game against St. Joe's Geno put KML back into a blow out game to secure 1 more rebound and a triple double after it was brought to his attention that KML was 1 rebound short. Of course KML being KML decided while she was in there might as well splash another 3 and another 2 before finally getting the rebound.Eric - nice side note, but IMHO announcers are 99% right in that "the individual (Stokes) is not self-absorbed about the indiv. stats over the team goal." Also, the team knows how certain "Big time Goals" --triple double, national 3 pt. record--really mean. Other than those two I can't even think of other indiv. goals that even brought a mention.
