Mississippi State looks like they are working through some changes in offense and especially defense. However it looks like they are talking to each other. Halftime 63-32.

Alexis Dye for Troy looks like she could be a WNBA player next year. She moves well, rebounds, and has 18 pts and 9 rebounds with 8:58 left in the 3rd.

I was very concerned about what appeared to be players out of place and confused on both ends of the floor. However after looking at the game last year against Troy it pretty much mirrored it.
However the players seem to have a bigger learning curve for this offense than I expected. The players still need to learn the difference in an early open shot and a good open shot.
On defense they are letting opponents get their feet square too often. They also are not putting a body on an opponent when a shot goes up. I liked that Coach McCray-Penson had a quick hook with the starters when they had a lapse to begin the second half.
In contrast all the players seem a lot more comfortable taking shots. The two starting guards seem very comfortable running the show. 18-2 assist to turnover ratio is amazing.
Unique Thompson would be an amazing player to add to this team. They need an effort rebounder and blue collar. Emesery Martinez would work too.

Agree. I don't like the work on the defensive boards. Need to work on blocking out. They work hard on defense, get the stop they want, and then let that effort go to waste by giving up easy offensive boards.
