There was a post player from Washington state who played for Stanford a few years ago with a German sounding name. She was about 6' 8" and her mother used to post on the Boneyard. Can't remember her name. Is it her?
Courtney Vandersloot
Chris Dailey? She once spent a $1000.00 on shoes, which sounds like a lot, but I may not be the best one to judge.

Achtung! - the name Vandersloot is Dutch, not German.Courtney Vandersloot
IIRC Griner has the most blocks in a single high school game (24 or 25 maybe?) so i'd have to guess her. even tho the hints indicate i'm probably wrong...
Chris Dailey?
Then i would have to guess Charde Houston as she's the only player i've ever seen in HS for a former Husky. but i don't recall every seeing her block an overly large amount of shots. of course, i only caught about 5 or 6 of her games so...Interesting that you mention Griner. You are correct, she had 25 block in a game, on 11 November, 2008, a national record for high school. Which I know because I added it to her Wikipedia article yesterday. She also holds the single season record for high school,318, but her 794 career blocks is only good enough for third place for career blocks.
Incidentally, Eric, you are the Boneyarder most likely to have seen her play in high school.
At this point? Absolutely. We're probably not a message board talking about UConn WBB without her.Good use of the hint, but no. BTW, is Chris a Husky?

What about Allyssa DeHaan from a town in Michigan? She's 6'9" and I remember that she was very tall when in High School and is pretty far up there in NCAA blocks while at Michigan State. Also played volleyball for MSU.

IN a game, a season or a career. Can anyone guess, without looking it up, who had the most blocks as a female High school player in the US?
I had the pleasure of meeting her at lunch in Denver, but I didn't know this, until I just looked it up.
Hint - the obvious guesses will be wrong, and not even close. (The right answer is more than 300 more than Griner's total)
The record for a high school game is a Texan but not Griner, it was Jerri DiPasquale (sp). She did have 25 in a game.IIRC Griner has the most blocks in a single high school game (24 or 25 maybe?) so i'd have to guess her. even tho the hints indicate i'm probably wrong...
According to the article i ended up looking up, Griner had 25 too...The record for a high school game is a Texan but not Griner, it was Jerri DiPasquale (sp). She did have 25 in a game.
