Now that the seasons over, how accurate was this analysis tool? Did anybody do any tracking from the Sweet 16 to the champ? I think 40 rebounds, 40% from 3, & holding your opponent under 40% shooting is going to win you a ton of games. I believe we straddled those numbers at many points in the season. What we lacked in rebounds on a given day, we made up in a wildcard category- made free throws. Mentally tough & confident.

I believe we came up about a rebound short of qualifying. It's interesting to look back at, though - three of the four teams that were triple 40 when I posted about it (UConn, Louisville, MSU) ended up making deep runs in the tournament.

I thought this thread was about banging chicks with 40" busts, 40" waists" and 40" hips.

It takes a lot of guts to mount and conquer one of them.

One issue I have is that while we finished a little shy of 40 rebounds (~33) we absolutely did meet the goal as we out rebounded Kentucky in that game. I believe that the 40 rebound requirement needs to be adjusted for pace and efficiency. I could see a scenario where 42 rebounds in one game is far less beneficial to winning that game than 35 would be in another game.

Yes. Total rebounds is one of the most meaningless stats of all-time. It has no context whatsoever.
