I've been having a tricky time keeping track of all the grads and other transfers we're after. Put together this list. If I'm missing anyone or some more updated info on any players let me know and I can update it. I'm not exactly doing much during the day during quarantine, so I'll have the time, lol. Mods-- feel free to delete if you don't like the idea.

Guys were still on:

Ishmael El-Amin, Ball State-- 6'1 195 -- 13.8/3.1/2.3 2.0 TO 1.1 STL. 43% FG. 39% 3FG (6.3 attempts). 76% FT (2.3 attempts) (Kenpom 116, -1.7 SOS).
  • We reached out.
  • 1 year eligibility. Potentially a grad transfer?

Jalen Carey, I don't want to talk about it -- 6'3, 186 -- 3.5/1.6/1.0 1.6 TO 0.6 STL. 39% FG, 17% 3FG (0.9 attempts), 63% FT (1.6 Attempts). (kenpom 39, 10.1 SOS)
  • We reached out.
  • 3 years eligibility.
  • Stats are from 18-19. 12 mpg

Tyrese Martin, UConn -- 6'6 205 -- 12.8/7.0/1.1 2.0 TO 1.1 STL. 43% FG. 32% 3FG (4.6 attempts). 66% FT (2.3 attempts). (Kenpom 65, 4.8 SOS).

  • 2 years eligibility
  • Committed.

Out:

Brandon Johnson
Carlik Jones
Charles Minland
Dimencio Vaughn
EJ Anosike
Jordan Bruner
Justin Turner
Kevin Marfo
Landers Nolley
Luther Muhammed
Marcus Santos-Silva
Rich Kelly
Sam Sessoms
Tahj Eaddy
Trey McGowens
Tret Murphy

What's interesting to me is 1) how close in the kenpom all these guys teams are except for Kelly. 105-187. That must be the range where kids are good players for our level, but their teams were just bad enough they want to leave for better opportunities.

Also interesting how we're only on one 3/4 combo-type player-- Nolley. Hopefully that's a signal we're feeling confident in his recruitment.

Transfers:
marial mading (juco)?
landers nolley
trey mcgowens
jamarius burton
tyrese martin
ishmael el-amin

Grad Transfers:
Carlik Jones
dimencio vaughn
rich kelly

justin turner cut us. his final list is now: Missouri, Xavier, Marquette, Arkansas, Louisville and Iowa State

We’re out on Turner. Weren’t in his final 6.

Don’t love that the NCAA may postpone the vote on immediate eligibility for all transfers til June. Don’t think it’s as much as a guarantee as some are saying. Very impactful decision from NCAA in terms of who we prioritize.

Thanks. Just added Jamarius burton and removed turner. Didn't add Marial Mading because I don't think the interest is very serious for now.

i'll be the first to admit it's not anymore. wont be surprised at all if the ncaa somehow justifies voting no, at least until next year, b/c of the pandemic

Also still in on Tyrese Martin (URI).

That's why I wanted to start the thread. Totally forgot about him.

Rothstein's latest tweet doesn't have us showing interest, but another did. Not sure what the latest news is so I'll keep him on

This article connects us to Sessoms from Binghamton

I'll add him! One tweet saying we called, but not much more.

Definitely a little nervous about taking a kid from a terrible team with such low 3pt%s already. But trust in the staff--I know nothing about this kid.

Martin has been knocked a little as someone we don’t want I thought? He’s listed as #2 on this list.... anyone with knowledge could dm me why we may not want?

Brunner, Carton, Aiken?

Nolley is the guy. I’m assuming the staff feels really good on that front
^agree. Staff doesn’t want him feeling like we’re recruiting guys to take his minutes. We be full. I would suppose that if Sanogo or Etienne wanted to reclass he would accept.

welcome to the positive spin zone. they arent nolley's minutes until he commits. regardless, why couldnt hurley just explain to nolley that he's plan A, but we need to have a plan B so incase it doesnt work out we arent left with nothing?

Unless Hurley knows his plan A is a lock. Idk, just a thought

Why don't you trust Hurley to be able to do his job?

i do. i'm just not buying he "doesn’t want [nolley] feeling like we’re recruiting guys to take his minutes"

Yeah I think there's a better chance it's the uncertainty with a second scholarship opening up than scaring off Nolley

Martin told 247Sports that Oregon, Louisville, Creighton, Seton Hall, UConn, Georgia, Ole Miss and Arkansas are the schools that have pursued him hard since he announced the transfer.
