Transfer QB coming in?

He was a 2-star rated QB out of high school (GA). Big kid: 6'3" 200 lbs out of high school. Pro style QB.

I'm not sure what this means for Cochran, Boyle, and Davis but I think it's just a case of re-building QB depth after Taylor's transfer.

For a school that has done nothing in a decade it's interesting that 10% of NFL starting QBs went to State.

.-.
So he comes in as a RS Soph? Skips JR Year? and then he plays 1 year as a senior??

Played as true freshman so he has 2 years of eligibility.
Played as freshman = year 1 of 4 at NCS
Sits as real soph at UConn = red shirt year/transfer year at same time.
Junior, Senior and grad year at UConn = remaining 3 years of 4.

What am I missing re why he only has 2 year?

According to a Scout article, in order to see the field quicker, he was moved to linebacker then fullback.

NCST expects a Florida transfer, Brissett? to start and they got a top 15 Qb at 6'5" last year.

.-.
I don't see it happening unless there are reasons we aren't aware of.

When it comes to the QB position it seems like there is always something going on we aren't aware of. I assume this kid would have to sit a year. He was a wildcat QB at NC state where he played last year as a true freshman.

He can play 4 years total yes? He used 2 playing and sitting. That leaves 2. Could not play grad year unless he redshirts a year.

No. You have 5 years to play 4. He played as a true frosh (why, given his limited time, I have no idea). He sits this year and then has 3 years of eligibility after that.

Paul Pasqualoni was his coaches mentor, that's why. You always burn the redshirt to experiment.

Guessing this is related to this thread.

He loses the year sits. You can't red shirt a transfer year, you just lose it I think.

Whatever happened to Graham Stewart will happen to him.

That's incorrect. This upcoming season, Graham Stewart is a RS Junior. He used his redshirt when he transfered from Florida. Like Jimmy Serrano said, you have 5 years to play 4 (barring the unforseen).

Stewart has 3 years at UConn if he wants them.

He'll score a touchdown in the Orange Bowl? That would be pretty sweet.
