I heard this on the news, very sad.

Fire Call That Resulted In UConn Student's Death Was False Alarm


Another alcohol related death. Some young people cannot handle alcohol. Some things haven't changed in the fifty years since I went to UConn.

The initial report was that six frat boys were being investigated about a party the young girl attended. Who made the false alarm? Like I said, tragedy.

Thanks, yes you are correct. I was wondering why I just heard about it yesterday, so I investigated further. So, this was the news reported yesterday:

This incident created a lot of discussion in the firefighting world trying to understand how this happened and what could have been done differently to prevent it. Some things that happen are just inconceivable. I can only imagine that the driver of that rig required some Critical Incident Stress Management after that run.
