That's the hypothetical that this NY Times writer poses. If it would bring back the haul the writer mentions, I'd be all for it, but it seems a bit far fetched. Still, something to think about until the real action starts again in a couple of days.

DeGrom won't be traded by the Mets. Their front office is a mess, with no one really in charge. He's also 30 years old with only 2 years left on his contract. Two years under contract is not worth what the Mets would want.

No shot the #99 is now worth as much or more than the #2 ......too much $$ outside the game itself for that to ever happen.
