Average MOV in this year's tourney---39.8. Smallest MOV 21.. Any of you stat hounds know how this stacks up?

It's the record, breaking our 2010 record, I believe.

Note that the Big 3 won all 24 tourney games by double digits.

I don't know about MoV for full tournament but I have tracked MoV in Final Four and MoV in Final Four plus Regionals. Stewie et al blew everyone (mostly other UConn teams of course!) away. Here are the top teams for MoV. MoV from sweet sixteen on is particularly impressive. Partly attributable to some of the better teams falling by the wayside, but still ...

Reg/F4
2016 35.3 (Wow!!!!!)
2015 26.3
2010 26.0
2013 24.3
TN 98 21.5
2009 21.0

F4
2016 30.0
2013 25.5
TN 98 23.0
TX 86 20.5
2009 20.5
2014 20.0

The 2002 team that some regard as GOAT was 18.5 for Reg/F4 and 17.5 for F4

And the (Old) Big East finishes with a composite record of 18W and 8L. Pretty impressive. Wonder how that stacks up against the other conferences, taking the OBE teams out of their W/L totals?

That UConn team could match up against any on offense, and was pretty good on defense too. For whatever reason, though, I think that most of UConn's best defensive teams were the more recent teams (from Maya onward). In general, the biggest blowouts happen when your offense is clicking and your defense renders the other team helpless for long periods.

I guess that Geno guy is pretty good. ;)

This article contains a small chart on the record-setting MOV in tournament games:
How the Huskies made history

Largest Avg Margin of Victory NCAA Tournament

Women's Division I History (Min. 3 Games)

2016 Connecticut +39.8
2010 Connecticut +35.7
2013 Connecticut +34.7

When you follow a team you have an idea how good they are but you're never sure how they stack up to the other teams. After this season we can truly say, that this team was an all-time team.
