At this point I feel bad for their fans. They didn't show up against Michigan St. last year, and they haven't showed up yet for this game, with 13 minutes remaining.

They can't even run a fast break... PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!

NC State is doing everything to keep Marquette in this game and Marquette would rather be home on the sofa.
 
NC State is not actually playing that well, and Joplin and Mitchell are making some ridiculous mistakes, especially on defense. Cam Jones just threw it out of bounds because Joplin was running rim to rim with Gold when Joplin was supposed to go to the 3 point line.

Marquette should have cut this lead in half the last 2 minutes, and they have actually lost ground because of those two. These two are playing so badly that it looks funky enough that you have to wonder if something is up.

This looks like in Blue Chips when the coaches review the tape and realize Tony is on the take and intentionally throwing the game.

Mitchell just got beat on that pull up 3, didn't even move.

Shaka has to put these two on the bench and not play them again.
 
Marquette players possibly out partying in Deep Ellum late last night. Look hungover. Can't even catch or dribble the ball, never mind make a shot.

I would almost think we had another point shaving scandal on our hands, except it's everyone except Kolek.

Maybe something slipped into their drinking water?
 
The marquette/NC State ball almost seems like its slippery. Lots of weird bounces and lost dribbles.
 
This is embarrassing. Were they taking NC St too lightly just because they're an 11 seed, and then when MU saw that State could play they couldn't pull it together. Lousy shooting, way too many TOs

It is Mitchell and Joplin in the middle of a lot of the weirdest sequences. Those two players are a lot better than they are playing tonight, and it feels like they aren't always trying. They make just enough plays, until Marquette is about to cut it under 10, and then they screw up.

Raff just called out Joplin for denying the cut. Their mistakes involve a lot of off the ball stuff too.

NC State upsetting Marquette
Gonzaga right there with Purdue

Clearly UConn didn’t get the memo

Well this Purdue-Gonzaga game is getting out of hand. Zags just leaving 3 point shooters WIDE OPEN.
 
The early window looking as bad as you can get tonight.

I guess it’s up to Creighton and Houston to salvage
 
Mitchell didn't close out again on defense, but NC State missed anyway, then on the other end, Mitchell passes up a wide open 3, drives into the paint and turns it over.

Marquette was so happy to finally make it through the first weekend that they were done and checked out of the tournament

Mitchell and Joplin are 0 for 9 from 3.

Mitchell just walked and they didn't call it. Either he is high or is fixing the game. He is way too good a player to play like this.
 
3/24 on three, officially now worse than UConn’s 3/22. The only difference is UConn still blew out NW.
