Ryan Boatright and Shabazz Napier, Connecticut Huskies

Napier is considered one of the best point guards in the country, and the accolades are well-deserved. It’s why Boatright often flies under the radar. But sharing the backcourt responsibilities is the reason both thrive individually and together.

While Boatwright might have more of a scorer’s mentality, Napier has also shown an ability to score. He’s consistently made big shots throughout his career. And while Napier handles the ball more than Boatwright, taking him off the ball gives him a chance to move without it. Together, Napier and Boatwright combine for 55 percent of the Huskies’ assists this season.

Having two point guards is like having two pilots on an overseas flight. Having one take control when the other is tired is a huge advantage. And because Napier has played about 85 percent of UConn’s minutes the last three seasons, he can take a breather on offense without having to run the team. Leaving that to Boatwright at times makes them even more effective together.

Noticed that as well. It takes a large amount of indifference in the editing room to allow that to go to press (screen).

What the heck lol! I was hoping I was going to be the first one to notice that!

Maybe they copied and pasted from the many BY threads where it was spelled incorrectly...
