Top 10 Highest-Paid Assistant Coaches in College Basketball (2025-26 / 2026 Season)

1. Kimani Young — UConn (Big East) — ~$1.1M (one of the highest reported assistant deals in recent years)

2. Luke Murray — UConn (Big East) — ~$893K

3. Kenny Johnson — Indiana (Big Ten) — $750K (part of DeVries’ staff reload)

4. Rod Clark — Indiana (Big Ten) — $650K

5. Orlando Antigua — Illinois (Big Ten) — ~$900K (top in Big Ten per prior reports)

Not sure why Antigua is listed as number five when he should be number two, but still.

.-.
Where is that list from? Source? Are the salaries of assistants at private schools (e.g. Duke) public information?

We're supposed to believe UConn and Indiana have four of the top five highest paid assistants? In the country?

I don't think that is a top 5 list above. You're telling me there aren't other assistant coaches that make more than Rod Clark's $650,000? Not possible. I'd like to see the source of that list.

I guarantee that pay for his assistants was part of Hurley's most recent negotiations to stay here.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Luke and (eventually) Kimani move on.

I think I tweeted out that list somewhere - included the source.
