Just a few weeks ago, this year's WNBA draft was considered relatively weak relative to other years. With the addition of Zahui and the latest news about Jewell Loyd, things have shaken up a bit. As a UConn fan, this year's draft also includes KML and I'm excited to see where she ends up. Who do you think will be the top 5 WNBA draft picks? The teams with the top 5 picks are the following:

1. Seattle
2. Tulsa
3. Seattle
4. Connecticut
5. Chicago

Also, please vote in the poll with who you choose as the #1 draft pick this year. Thanks!

This is of course assuming there are no trades.

1. Loyd (Sea)
2. KML (Tulsa)
3. Zahui B. (Sea)
4. Williams (Sun)
5. Harrison (Chi)

Gray, Bradford, Welch, Boyd, Hanby, Stokes and Logic should round up the 1st round.

Really hard to imagine that Seattle doesn't take Loyd. I think KML is the better fit for Tulsa, so they probably take her over Zahui.

1. Loyd
2. KML
3. Zahui
4. Gray
5. Williams

I'd have to research team needs, but...

1. Loyd
2. Zahui
3. KML
4. Williams
5. Hamby

The Sky's pick may depend on what's up with Fowles. She's cored but hasn't signed it yet. If Fowles does sign and play, PF is Chicago's biggest weakness. I'd rather someone who can play now because they're primed for a run this year. So it could be Gray or Hamby.

No matter what, Seattle won the lottery here.
Agreed. Can you imagine if Seattle lands Loyd and Zahui? That would be something. Tulsa's starting 5 is C Paris, is it not? I haven't done enough analysis on each team's current roster to know who might be the best fit for any of them...

Mostly, I think that having Diggins and Sims on the same team is going to open up a ton for KML, and both are very solid perimeter defenders, which helps on that end. I'm also not sold on the idea that KML is that much more of a liability on the defensive end than Zahui.

Loyd #1.

I hope Stokes goes to Chi-Town with the #5 since I don't see Jewell going there.

How did Seattle score the 1st & 3rd picks?
They traded Camille Little and Shekinna Stricklen to Connecticut for the 3rd and 15th picks. It didn't seem like a great trade to me at the time, but you can't argue with the results.

Came out like bandits!

(Pulling out all the wornout cliches today, folks)
