Now that a very thorough game analysis has been posted by cferraro04, here are my top 3 things for the game at Creighton:

1) Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. They have to be cut down significantly since Creighton averaged only about 12 a game versus our 22.5 over the last 4 games. That's 10 extra possessions.

2) Their tallest player is 6'1" so let's pound it underneath but avoid the offensive fouls with Aaliyah and Dorka having big games. They will have no answer for Aubrey nor Caroline when she comes in. Let's see both combine for 32 points and 15 boards:

3) Great team and individual defense leading to "off to the races" with Nika and company.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all and to all...GO HUSKIES!

1. I would like to see Caroline Ducharme build off her last performance and start to become a more consistent offensive weapon.

2. For UConn to cut down on their turn overs. Getting their turn overs down to somewhere between 12 and 14 would be a great start.

3. I would like to see Amari decide right here and now that she wants to be a contributor. I want her to start playing like she's 6'5".

Merry Christmas one and all.... :)

Until Azzi returns, it is reasonable to assume most opponents pack the paint to keep the ball away from Aaliyah and Dorka. This means Lou, Caroline, Aubrey, AND Nika need to hit the outside shots. Seton Hall tried this defensive strategy and Nika figuratively gave them the middle finger by hitting her first 4 shots from 3point range. We will need more of that from her and the other Guards. If and when Creighton decides to cover the guards, then Aaliyah, Dorka, Amari, Ayanna will get their fair share of opportunities.

My only concern is the short time between return from the holiday break and the flight to Creighton... BUT Geno has dealt with this in the past and will do so again this time to have the team ready!

GO HUSKIES.

1. Press them from start to finish. 2. WE are taller, out- rebound them by 20. Keep up the 3-point onslaught, no slacking. If Uconn does this the game is in the win column! Our scoring mitigates our turnovers. GO HUSKIES~~~

It sure was nice to see her nail her first shot, the 3 from the corner. Her defender closed out quickly to her but Caroline didn’t hesitate, got the shot off fast & swished it perfectly. More of that please!

1. Even more Caroline — this is the key to everything, in my view, given how the others are already playing

2. Amari playing good minutes — if she’s on the floor for 10 mins, it will mean she’s playing well

3. Azzi plays a few minutes, sinks a few 3s

!. The only acceptable turnover is being agressive on fast breaks.... Stopping the lazy and forced passes turovers is what I'm looking for them to reduce.
2 Outrebound by at least 10.
3.Shoot 40%+ from three.

1) The tenth win of this young season!
2) Rebound so well that turnovers don't matter, because the Huskies get the ball right back!
3) Inspired defense by Huskies that causes "fast break city" with NO injuries!

Not specific to the game, but I hope that all the players and staff make it successfully back to campus from their holiday destination, and that the team makes it to Creighton with minimal weather related adventures.

1) Nika has more assists than the whole team has turnovers
2) Strong post game, with Aaliyah and Dorka dominating without fouling, while Ayanna and Amari get some meaningful and productive minutes
3) A strong performance by Caroline

1. Blocked shots by all of the bigs
2. All of the bigs involved with scoring & making assists
3. Ayanna's first dunk.
She should hang onto the rim if needed & not worry at all about getting a technical foul.
Just do it.

1. No Injuries
2. Limit turnovers.
3. No injuries. Already no Azzi, no Aubrey and probably no Amari. It really is unbelievable how bad this teams luck is. Unprecedented.
