After a 65 point victory at Xavier, we travel to Tampa on Tuesday for an OOC game against a former AAC foe, USF, whose long time coach, Jose Fernandez, recently left to become the head coach of The Dallas Wings and Paige Bueckers. I will be there so here are the top 3 things I want to see:

1) More than anything, I want to see Blanca find herself out there on both the offensive and defensive end. She is so talented and athletic with such a high ceiling.

2) Allie to keep improving with another solid game. She was 6th man against Xavier and probably will be the same against USF. Between Allie and Ash, we got 30 points from the 3 position against Xavier.

3) Serah and Jana to combine for 20 and 12 from the center position. It will be a critical position against likely FF opponents.

Hey, it's a process and these games are an important part of it. What would you like to see?

1. Play at our pace and not allowing USF to do their typical slow down attempt

2. Blanca get back on track

3. Continue to work on post entry. I wouldn't mind seeing a Serah and Kelis together couple minutes

1. Continue the pressure Defense for 40 minutes!
2. For Caroline to find her shot from all over the court!
3. Offensively to have all healthy players looking to score!

A few nits to focus on:
-Serah to get physical, particularly with rebounding. At times, she tends to plant her feet and not move towards to ball. We have the depth so a few fouls would not be the worst thing to happen.
-Blanca to start working on some of the simple things such as not running over the defender when going in for a layup. Its becoming obvious that she has not received the best of coaching prior to coming to UConn. She is one of the best athletes to wear the Huskie uniform so would be good to treat some of these upcoming cupcake games as opportunities to improve some of her basketball skills.
-Turn Kelis Fisher lose on defense. Appears she was not counted on to be a shut down defensive guard and now would be a great time to see what she can do. In her limited time, her offensive moves are impressive but she seems to give up alot of space to the ball handler. While Kayleigh has solid defensive skills, at some point in the future UConn will need Kelis's quickness.

That players who aren’t Sarah and Azzi play at a high enough level that S&A can play under 30 minutes.

That Ash continues to see the Splash at the end of her shots

That we win all 4 quarters

Offensive consistency with no extended scoring lulls.
Continued defensive intensity
More playing time for the bench players so we can see what they have to offer as the season progresses.

We are season ticket holders. This is a different USF team from past seasons. This year's Bulls are running almost every play. They have 3 guards that push the ball up the court about 90% of the time. The also have two decent post players. USF's new coach, Micelle Woods-Baxter. She has emphasized defense and up tempo offense.

NO let down, keep improving as a team.

Make the BUNNIES, to many missed gimmes.

NO injuries, everyone plays and everyone eats.
Sarge, I especially agree with your #2. There is no excuse for players with their skills missing shots from one foot and in.. Some of Serah's have been the result of turning an easy shot into a difficult one. And what in the world is wrong with Jana's 1 footer's ? It looks like she is at the same place as last year. Heck, Blanca and KK even joined the parade, last game.

USF has never won against UCONN. Last count I remember was 0 wins and 28 losses. Iwould like to see Ashlynn score 20 points with 6 3's. Iwould like to see Caroline score 15/16 points. I would like to see 6 players in double figures, The defence is automatic, no problems.
