1) Another fast start offensively putting Xavier away early

2) Continued pressure team defense with doubling and switching and Aubrey and Mir being on the court together if we press

3) Evina and Nika to take at least 5 shots each

1. A fast start. Take good shots. Get ONO the ball on the block. Get her going early.
2. Pressure defense. No easy or open shots for Xavier. Make them earn every point. Get at least 2 steals in the first quarter.
3. Minimize the turnovers and fouls. ONO and Nika need to stay on the floor, and out of foul trouble.
I’m adding a fourth want. I want to see some consistent play both team and individual.

Want to see:
  • Nika with 6+ points, maybe getting to the line a couple of times
  • CW continuing to play well
  • Aubrey doing a little work in the mid-range

Expect to see:
- Another Aaliyah full-court steal and run out. (one a game seems to be automatic)

I would like to seer Piath play the entire game in the post.
And Mir at point guard.
And Saylor at shooting guard.

Add in Paige and Westbrook /Muhl...we still win by twenty.

1. Continued strong games by Liv and CW.
2. Evina to hit some shots and be a factor on offense.
3. Strong defense turning to offense.
4. Paige with at least 15 shots and 10 assists
5. at least 5 min. for Mir, Saylor and Piath.

1. Continued strong games by Liv and CW. (I agree with this that most people have suggested) We need to start seeing consistency.
2. They should continue their defensive commitment in all the remaining games. It's the best way to stay competitive even when your shots are not falling.
3. Get a big enough lead where Mir, Piath, Saylor and even Autumn can get 5 or more minutes.

Besides Paige, who would be the leading scorer on this team?

Since the team will be in Cincinnati, I’m dreaming about:
  • Skyline Chilli
My daughter asked for Cincinnati chili just yesterday. Had I been thinking of the Xavier game, I would have waited to make it.

My wants are mostly the usual:

Pound the ball inside
No injuries/good news about Anna
Nika shooting when she’s six feet from the basket rather than making a questionable pass

I agree with the consensus.

1. It's time to prepare for the tourney. Hence, Liv and CW are aggressive and effective. They should combine for 25/15/8 at least.

2. Paige stars again, and goes for 25/12.

3. Multiple buckets for Nika.

4. More lockdown defense. Keep Xavier under 50, preferably under 40.

5. A double-double for Aubrey.

1. Paige hit 30,10 and 10 for a triple double
2. Evina hit 12, 10 and 10 for two triples in one game
3. Autumn, Plath, Saylor and Mir play the entire fourth quarter with five minutes each from Paige and Evina to get their triple doubles

1. Anna back for valuable minutes
2. Good finishes over the rim, not under the rim!
3. Balanced scoring for a 20+ point win

Really a good question. Not likely Muhl, because she prefers assists to buckets. Saylor is not yet close to finding her shot....but maybe a full 40 minute run would help. Mir has shown little ability to score other than the occasional " put back." So....it might just be Piath. Grabbing rebounds and putting them away. Whose going to push her around? Maybe she'll surprise us and hit 10 threes in a row, as Lou once did. Fantasy is easy, because they never get tested.
