This will be different game than the last 2 against The Hall and Butler. This is an experienced and talented team that is a legit Top 25 team. We will likely be facing this team again the the BE finals so here are my top 3 things that I want to see:

1) Paige again taking the game over early and finishing with close to 20 shots.

2) Azzi to be Azzi in the first half, not just the second one. To do that she has to create her shots off the bounce early in the game. Once that happens, it will open up the 3 for her.

3) Ash and Chen to just keep it up. They are both very different players than they were in November and they add so much to our offense.

This is a big game. Do you have any?

Very good point. Both played over 20 minutes in the first meeting and Kaitlyn scored 9 points and Ashlynn scored 2 on 1 for 3 shooting. They need to keep it up and easily score in the teens.

This game will be a team effort. Not picking out individual players on this post, that's a given for them. As a team effort to win the game I want ( 1 ) Score more 3's than them. ( 2 ) Out rebound them. ( 3 ) Defend like we always do. GO HUSKIES!!!!

.-.
1. Double Double for Paige: 20+ points 10 assists.
2. Double Double for Sarah: 20+points and 10 rebound (a few steals and blocks!)
3. Kaityln, KK, and Ash with Double Doubles of OFFENSIVE (1) and DEFENSE (2)!!

1. Come out with intensity from the tip-off.
2. Deploy the "chaos twins" of Ash and KK and their big sister Aubrey to wreak havoc defensively.
3. Integrate Caroline to the degree she is ready; just seeing her in uniform adds an emotional boost to the team. I'll be at the game and can't wait to hear the cheers when she enters the game. (I wonder if she should bring her earplugs...) ;)

  1. Jana
  2. Jana
  3. Aubrey
These two are the main positions where improvement can make a difference for the team.

Caroline to play at least 3 minutes. Ice to play at least 1 minute. Azzi to play to her capabilities. Cheat #4 - Aubrey to keep getting better. These get us on the road to being back to full health, or as close as we can. AP is obviously not coming back this year. But I never expected Caroline back at this late date. My guess though is that if she gets in during a rough, close game, it is only because we are in desperate foul trouble. If she even got up to 60% speed by the end of the year, that would be such a blessing. She is owed it.

It hadn't really occurred to me until I saw your post that a wholesale change bringing these three in together could be insanely demoralizing for an opponent, there'd be no getting away from them. To allude to HP Lovecraft, these three would be like bringing in Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos.

.-.
1. The big three all playing at a high level. They all have good games now they need to all have it the same night
2. Jana needs to keep being developed. They will need her to beat a couple of the teams out there
3. Just win

1- Caroline seeing about 5-8 minutes
2- Practicing with Aubrey at the 5 position
3- Ash, KK, getting enough minutes to keep them sharp
4 for good measure- Sarah, Paige, and Azzi keep working on their chemistry

.-.
1. Azzi shoot well.
2. Chen shoot well.
3. KK shoot well.

Those three all really struggled in the first game against Creighton. KK and Chen in particular were dared by Creighton to shoot. I expect Creighton to try the same game plan.

A couple of posters above me mentioned Jana. Jana barely played during the first meeting. I think she will barely play in this game too. I think she would struggle to guard against Creighton.

I see lots of three point shooters creating their own shots. They may take a step deeper from the arc and let it fly. AZZI never does that. I wonder why.

15+ points, 10+ rebounds from Aubrey

4+ threes from Azzi

Caroline gets into the scorers' column

Bonus pick - hold Maly and Jensen to under 25 points combined

1). Assertiveness on both ends of the court.
2). Balanced scoring attack. 6-8 players in double digits points.
3). 40% or better on 3-point shooting...Us and not Creighton

1. Spread the playing time around.
2. More Jana
3. Don't score 100 or more as it makes the competition look too easy.

1. Taking advantage of size in the paint with Jana
2. Taking Creighton seriously (they are ranked and undefeated since last meeting)
3. Using the SC strategy - big and small lineups

.-.
1. A win. as Big East games go this is about as important as they get because it actually is for first place.
2. No injuries
3. Consistent 3 point shooting. This is live by the 3 die by the 3 team - if they want to go deep in the tournament the 3 point baskets have to be made.

1 Defense and rebounding
2 Azzi look like she did against SC not like the last 2 games 7pts and 10 points (0/3 from the 3 pt line)
3 Guard the 3 pt line

1. Keep turnovers under 10.
2. Turnovers only on scoring pass attempts, not dribbling
3. Play to an under 20 second shot clock.
Bonus:
4. Pass downcourt rather than dribble into offense.

1. Jana to be large and smart in the paint, she doesn't have to stuff the stat sheet just keep Bluejays from nesting.
2. Aubrey to get significant minutes and play like she is at Walsh Gymnasium.
3. Caroline plays at least 5 minutes and puts up a shot that looks smooth and just swishes. Everyone wants to see the smile after that basket.

No injuries, a pretty dominant win and...
1) The big 3 to all play with an intense killer instinct
2) Aubrey to have a real impact both offensively and defensively
3) Kaitlyn and Ash to both have a great game (& Caroline to appear in 2 quarters and make a shot or two)
