Top 3 Things You Want To See Sunday December 28th At Butler- Game is at 4:00 pm on TRU and TNT

This is a home coming game for Ash. She will have a lot of family and friends there. I really hope she puts on a show with a superior game. So, my 3 things are:

Ash
Ash
Ash
Just seems that with her that when she hits her first two shots she gets instant confidence and let's them fly.

Or maybe she see's that when her shot isn't going in that it's better to pass up a three and give it to someone else that is currently hitting their shots. A player that knows they are struggling will pass it to the players that aren't struggling and do other stuff that helps the team like lock down defense.

Of course but you don't just stop shooting. With her she is very streaky and if she really thinks "Oh my shot isn't working, I'm going to p[ass" I think that is not optimum at all. It's true that she helps the team in other ways, most notably defense and offensive rebounding, but we need that third knock down 3 point and pull up shooter (only Azzi, Sarah and Ash have traditional form pull up jump shots). So when she is open she should shoot regardless of what happened on the last shot. The best shooters have no memory. We will need those shots to go in come late March and early April.

Puts me in mind of when Kristin was having trouble with a string of poor shooting games.
Geno didn’t pull her off the starting 5, but suggested she “find something else to do”
So she started rebounding, assisting and working on her defense
She became our lockdown defender
None of the above are beyond Ash’s capabilities

I still maintain that you need her as a consistent third outside shooter. Azzi and Sarah are both going to be face guarded or doubled and you need that other option. Kristin was not even close to the shooter Ash is. Different shot, different form.

1. Tic,
2. Tac,
3. Toe . . .

. . . paint passing, à la Swin, Asjha and Tamika.

1. The game broadcast starts at 4PM.
2. It doesn't take the men's game that is before our game 20 minutes to play the last two minutes or go into OT.
3. I think you get the idea.

Wish the NCAA would change the men's game to 4 10 minute quarters just like the women's. All other basketball organizations play four quarters, playing between 8 to 12 minutes. Mostly all of the women's games end in less than two hours while the men's average 2+ hours.

Serah and Jana start fast, forcing Butler to try to clog the paint
Guards make them pay by hitting open 3’s
Vulture like defense fro start to finish
And …of course, no injuries

The real problem isn't the 20 minute half, it's the TV timeout every 4 minutes. Change it to every 5 minutes like the women and the guys would be done in under 2 hours too. But that's not going to happen because of $$$.

No injuries
Bianca having a good game, building her momentum
Jana starting to find a rhythm

Before I getting my usual header, I'd like to shout out to everyone for so many valid and inciteful "wants."
In addition to: no injuries and a win...
At least 7 players in double figures, all playing no more than 20 minutes.
Kelis and Ashlyn as leading scorers.
A taste of some good "Gandy-time" in the 4th quarter.
