Now that we have piqued your interest with the Louisville game, here are my top 3 things against Florida State:

1) Blanca- The X factor. Hopefully she can play.

2) Serah to get comfortable and to find herself out there.

3) Everyone plays.

What are yours?

What I'd like to see against FSU are some preliminary answers to these questions:

1. Blanca Quiñonez - Are you cleared to play? How well can you play? Can you shoot and protect the ball better than in the preseason scrimmages?

2. Can the non-Strong post players—Williams, El Alfy and Brady—score more than their (anemic) 6 combined points against Louisville.

3. Can Arnold and Heckel keep up their good scoring, and can Ziebell increase hers?

1. Better 3-point shooting
2. K9 to continue showing her talents
3. Bigs controlling the boards

1. Morgan on the bench

2. Blanca on the court for at least 15-20 minutes

3. Serah playing like she did at Wisc and like most of us expected

-Kelis joining KK and Kayleigh to form a three-headed monster at pg.
-Blanca healthy and Allie getting minutes and making a positive impact.
-Serah, Jana and Ice playing efficiently around the basket.

As always, though, the most important things are no injuries and a win.

See Blanca Serah and Sara with KK and Azzi
Continued on ball pressure with Kayleigh and Ash as second wave
Jana Allie ice subbing in and Kelis Caroline Annya closing things out

1. Improved chemistry for the starting 5
2. Serah taking a step forward in scoring
3. Lock down defense
I'd like to comment on your #1. Chemistry can always improve, but the starting five is not the problem (see the first quarter of the last game). Things started to get a little wobbly when the subs started coming in. If Geno is going to use a 9 or 10 player rotation, then the chemistry to remain at a high intensity. This is a must as UConn cannot have 2 players logging 38 minutes every game.

the problem with the starters was mainly Serah. She looked lost at times. I'm sure she will get better as she gets used to the other girls when the bullets are flying. Takes time to adjust to a new system.

I think the issue is getting her the ball in the places she was used to getting it at Wisconsin. Here there are several very good passers who will get her the ball when she is open, whether she is used to it or not. On at least a couple of occasions, instead of just going straight up or taking one quick dribble and then going up she looked like she felt she had to get to another spot to shoot and it cost her.

1. Continue to improve the high pressure defense.
2. Keep taking open shots. They will start falling.
3. Draw more fouls and make free throws.
