After the Tennessee loss, we have to regroup and the coaching staff will likely fine tune our rotation, defense, and offense from here on in. Here are my top 3 things:

1) Aubrey starts and plays the majority of forward position minutes after Sarah.

2) Azzi puts this last game out of her head and takes co-ownership now for this team.

3) Paige starts and finishes like Paige should.

We were all disappointed in last night's game but the season ain't over till it's over. Give us 3 things you want to see to help us now.

I'd like to more concerted effort to get Azzi Fudd going, screens, rescreens and catch and pop looks. I want to see set plays and actions for Paige, Strong and Azzi where they make decisions on the ball. Get them used to 1-1 actions.

I'd like to see KK early and often, Ice Brady back around and Jana finish at the rim.

UConn will win this but they need to prepare for their biggest test of the season because Dawn Staley and South Carolina are looming and if the Tennessee version of UConn shows up, they'll get blitzed before the half.

1). Team playing with intensity on both ends of the floor.

2). Playing as One Unit.

3). Balanced attack. Inside/Outside or Outside/Inside. Either way, just dominate out there.

Players coming off the bench (KK and Aubrey excluded) to contribute to the whole game by:
1. looking for and making their shots = scoring
2. rebounding and/or dishing out assists
3. solid defensive effort.

You never know what will be needed in pressure situations.

And to clarify the OP, the game is on CBSSN (CBS Sports Network), not your local CBS channel.

Somewhat sarcastic but with a fair amount of truth, would like to see the first time Paige passes up an open shot to have her get extended time on the bench (aka Stewie/Tuck treatment)

1. Make Providence "pay" for TN loss. Fire in the belly!
2. 40 minutes of hell both offensively and defensively.
3. Make a more concerted effort to get and keep Jana, Ice, and Aubrey involved.

1. Back to "efficient" Basketball (offense and defense)
2. Paige, Ash, and Azzi: "on target"; with Sarah leaving her
(IMHO) first "Freshman-like" game WELL behind her!!
3. No missed bunnies, no "un-Husky-like" passes.

I just think that for whatever reason the moment was too big for Azzi on Thursday. I think that will not happen again.

The only issue with a team like Providence is whatever you see not sure that should make anyone feel better as the competition is such a downgrade from other conferences. Azzi could come out and drop 30 but until you see it in a game in which team can punch back it’s only mildly interesting.

The only thing for me that is a question is who should play at the 5
Jana, Ice or Morgan ?

1. Three guards including Sarah
2. Jana and Aubrey playing a lot of minutes together
3. Paige running the offense and Azzi being ready to launch

The problem is they could sleepwalk and win this game and they need fire and they need to play 28 minutes minimum for conditioning.

1. Paige gets close to 25 points with an alpha mentality
2. Azzi and Sarah combine for 35 points or thereabouts
3. KK is inserted into the starting lineup

Get rid of that stand in for PB and give us back the old one
Get rid of that stand in for Azzi and give us back the old one
Get rid of that stand in for Shade and give us back the old one

1. The starting 5 getting extended minutes on the court
2. Define the rotation - who are the 3 or 4 off the bench
3. Pound the inside with Jana

This is very difficult. I don’t know what I want out of this game.

1. Ice being back and being healthy and playing; that would be a positive. And I would love to see it. I am doubtful though since the injury is apparently week-to-week.

2. Aubrey continues to progress. I would like to see her play more minutes this week. Maybe we should even consider starting her?

3. I would like to see Paige score over 30 in a game. It won’t prove a thing against providence. But I want to see us start forcing it to Paige.

I would like to see Morgan shoot more

I would like to see Paige start her "run to the final four" and make the game hers.

I want to see us clean up those bunnies and make those after contact layups and put backs.

Exactly. This is a team that does a pretty good job of beating up weak teams, wins again teams that are close but not quite their caliber, and gets the yips against teams that might be considered Big League. Tennessee may have been ranked well below UConn, but I submit that they were under-ranked a bit, where UConn may have been over-ranked. Tennessee is one of those teams that no one will want to play in the tournament. UConn is not.

Another option for 3. Play the kids more. Allie, Morgan, KK, Shade, Sarah, Jana, and Ice. Need to build a platform for success for the 2025-2026 season; which will be a challenging season.

1. Leadership at the point guard position controlling the pace of the game
2. Patience and Poise when looking to take a shot no rushing
3. Put the ball in the floor and dribble drive without hesitation

Of course UCONN will win and beat Providence by somewhere between a comfortable margin and total domination, but (in addition to no injuries) I'd like to see:
1) The entire team in Hulk or Mamba mode: focused, intense and confident
2) Paige to return to a sure-thing when shooting the ball from any range (& to start doing it early in the game and continuing it throughout). The same goes for Azzi...
3) For Jana to exhibit total domination inside by being aggressive but under control while maintaining the inner calm to actually put the ball in the basket instead of wildly flinging the ball in the general direction of the backboard.

Perfectly said.
“The yips”: love that term.

Make changes that will be implemented for SC
Aubrey and KK playing a lot
Sarah strong being selfish
