Top 3 Things You Want To See Against USC On Saturday Night. Game is at the XL Center at 8:00 p.m.

After that record barrage of 3s and a high level offensive performance against Iowa State, we have JuJu and Co. on Saturday night. It's a great night for women's basketball with an early regular season match up of superstars. Here are my top 3 things for that game:

1) More of the same. Paige, Sarah, and Ash getting open for their shots and dropping them.

2) Smart doubles on JuJu without unnecessary fouling.

3) Containment and fundamentals underneath, especially boxing out and defensive rebounding.

This is an important game in many ways. Do you have a list of your top 3 that you can share?

2. Girls hit their 3's like the IA State game

Pretty much the same as what we saw Tuesday night:

1). Multiple people scoring double digits.

2). Shots falling.

3). Rebounding.

If we see Azzi, it means USC will be stretched defensively. If we see a lot of Morgan, it means Geno is comfortable getting her experience guarding top level players. Either or both would be excellent signs.

3 The beatdown is so severe that, midway through the third quarter, the announcers express wonder that the media ever thought U$C might be the #1 team in the nation

I want to see:
1) Who is going to step up and limit Watkins, another big dynamic guard of the type UCONN has had trouble with the past few years. Given KK's defensive performance against ISU, is she up for the job?
2) If UCONN can make someone other than Watkins and Iriafen beat them.
3) If Ashlynn can keep her hot streak going and be a consistent third scoring threat/option

I don't see this game a real close game at the end.

1. The front court needs to be a factor. Jana needs more minutes and effective minutes.
2. Sarah guarding Juju. Good test and will prove a point
3. Azzi getting back in the game. The longer she sits the more I am concerned for her
