Top 3 Things You Want To See Against Oklahoma on Saturday. Game is at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN.

1. Sarah and guards to grab early and often offensive rebounds if available.
2. Play to a 15 second offensive clock. Speed is our game.
3. Hold turnovers to under 10.
bonus
4. Strong defensive rebounding.

Interesting about speeding up the shot clock- would have to bring the ball up faster. But is it a good idea? Getting the best shot available should result in a higher percentage of made baskets. If UConn speeds it up and maybe takes at least a few rushed shots and misses, or isn’t in position to rebound, and other team takes time to get their best shot, it might not work. Then again, maybe other team isn’t ready yet to defend- look how quickly Azzi and Paige can get off their shot. In that situation, a fast shot might catch the defense off guard.

1. Paige, Sarah, and Azzi: 67 points against ASU, and 66 against SDS,
Repeat the process!!
2. The Sooners have speed. The Huskies will display speed and quickness,
Especially on Defense: Chaos and Confusion!
3. Carol and Ash have solid games. Carol's height contributes. Ash's
scoring and tenacity make the Sooner's H.C. cry!

Would love to see Ice start and play a primary role. I feel we know Jana's upside but may find the need for a quicker center who can keep the ball out of Beers hands. We may also need to make a higher % of layups and foul shots if the game is close.
I hope that Ice and Aubrey see a lot of time on the court w Sarah. It seems that Jana’s been running out of gas quickly in the past couple of games, prob. due to Ramadan restrictions. Unfortunately, tomorrow’s game will be half+ over by sunset in Spokane. I’m optimistic that she is learning from each game how to manage. (Ramadan ends on Sunday.)

1- Oklahoma out rebounded Iowa 64-33! UConn needs to win the rebounding battle and deny 2nd chance points.
2- Get the lead and keep going- Oklahoma had better 2nd half than 1st half- UConn needs 4 solid quarters
3- Go at Beers and get her in foul trouble

1. The refs let the girls play. I think this will be a physical game under the boards, let 'em go at it!
2. UCONN uses it's speed and quickness to run Oklahoma's bigs off the floor, opening up the middle for drives, drive and kicks, offensive rebounds
3. A role player makes an unexpected contribution in any phase of the game. Aubrey seems like a great candidate.
