Is the game on SNY? My television shows To Be Announced at the time UConn usually plays.

why? do azzi and jana get a prize for being on the more court than kk, ash, kaitlyn and ice against HOLY CROSS? everybody knows what azzi can do already and jana could benefit from more minutes but she's seen a good amount of live action.

i much rather see q, morgan, and allie take those minutes from the experienced women.
My reason was the hope we could transition sooner rather than later to Azzi and Jana as new starters comfortable playing with Paige and Sarah, and this game is the last possible audition before a very difficult stretch of four games out of 5 against top level opponents.

I'm not saying I expect it to happen, but I do hope that for the big upcoming games we put the best starting lineup on the floor, which I believe rightly or wrongly would include Azzi and Jana.

I still hope that with a blowout we will see developmental minutes for the end of the bench.

Three Things:
  • A team wide, 40-min effort, no slip-ups, no let downs. Continuous, tip off to buzzer; solid defensive plays every trip down the court. Controlled, productive offensive, with limited turn-overs and dumb fouls. Let's play every single minute!
  • To have Jana successfully make her first four (4) free throws! 4 of 4, doesn’t seem like much of a long run, but every string of durational success starts somewhere. Elsewise, I'm fine with just letting Jana be Jana!
  • And third, to have Ashlynn score a dozen points or more. This game is against an inferior opponent, Ash should have plenty of opportunities. A perfect chance for her to get her offensive production sizzling! We hear a lot about UConn now having "three scoring threats". Well, having four, or five is even better! Ashlynn needs to be of the mindset that she will knock down a big score in any game as necessary, particularly a game where it is necessary! This one's probably not, but it can be useful as a confidence builder.

I don’t think this is really the game to call for it. But I want more scoring from Shade, KK, and Chen.
I think this is a perfect game for that. HC should not be very challenging. If there is scoring off of moves or shots that will not be available in tougher games, it will be a confidence booster anyway. Baby steps.

Three things:
  • Beautiful basketball with Paige, Azzi and Sarah giving a little taste of what’s to come;
  • Show latent aspects of the offense and defense now that all available players (including 5 in-comers) have gotten a little comfortable playing with one another in Geno’s system;
  • Have the game well in hand to give the youngest players more substantial in-game training experience.
Already priced-in:
  • With enough seasoning, this team is primed to dominate most of its competition.

Jana seems to be ready for spurts of uptempo play, but not sure her conditioning is complete. I like Ice as the starter. At this point...she has more flexibility in her offensive arsenal and the defense has to go out and guard her. She's also improved at handling and distributing the ball in the foul line area.
