If, as Kara Wolters said in the post-game, the Creighton game was a season turning point for this team, these are the top 3 things I want to see from them:

1) We start with energy , power, speed, tight defense and unselfish passing, jumping on this team from the opening tip:

2) Caroline lets the game come to her, Azzi makes the game come to her, and AE passes to both of them on cuts and post ups:

3) Evina asserts herself offensively in a prelude to the Tennessee game.

Run the offense just a little bit higher so we can give the posts more space and get cutters behind the backline defenders. I think this also makes the post-pass a little less difficult. Anything that spreads the defense...makes help defenders less of an issue.

Keep the ball moving. It wears down the defense.

Balanced scoring/Make the defense defend 5 positions.

Play up-temp offense

When running a play, for 3 point shooters, several rebounders should crash the boards with one positioning on the opposite side of rim. In some of these recent games, like Providence, we never attempted to gather offensive rebounds in the first half. Ono did in the second half of both games but Edwards often doesn't bother. She played too many minutes to not contribute more with rebounding.

Guards sometimes driving all the way to the hoop before the defense gets set. Williams and Azzi can make a difference with their quickness.

1) Quick lead in the 1st period, and NOT letting off of the "accelerator ==> 40+ pt MOV;
2) screens working (not moving) to get open 3 Pt shots that go down as well as clean back cuts for layups that are made at > 80% rate;
3) aggressive defense that leads to opponents turnovers and fast break points [> 25 pts on fast breaks] to prove that the Huskies are ready to beat UT at [UCONN's] home on Sunday [and then do it - I know that this part can't be seen on Friday night other than by Carnac!!!]

The above will show that the Creighton game was A turning point in the season. I am looking for THE turning point when Paige returns to the line-up at FULL POWER and FULLY HEALED before the end of February [sooner rather than later is my prayer]...

Christyn continuing to prove to the detractors on the BY that she’s someone who can still play the game
No traveling or offensive fouls by Aaliyah

First and foremost: No More Injuries or Sickness!
A clean well played fluid offense leading to an easy win.
All players getting into the game so in the first half and into the 3rd quarter the regular rotation players get the experience together they sorely need and for the rest of the game the rotation players rest while the reserves get the playing time they need to develop.
