Is the Mountain West not a mid major?

Not sure about their methodology. Santa Clara is 3rd in the WCC, behind both Oregon St. and Gonzaga, neither of which are to be found here.

Some of these I would call low majors, and would very likely get whooped if they played a bunch of teams that are not included in the poll.

Pretty weird that Princeton is the only one of these teams ranked in the real polls, but near the bottom of this one?

Oh shoot, I didn't see that Colorado St. is #24. So the Mountain West is included. Colorado St. is tied for FOURTH place in the conference, behind San Diego St., UNLV and Boise St., and even with New Mexico. This mid major poll is weird, and certainly is not based on what teams have been doing in conference for the last 5-6 weeks.
