First off, an honorable mention goes to the Ivy League with an average Ken Pom of 212.

Without further ado (average KenPom in parentheses)

1. SEC (35)
2. Big 12 (41)
3. Big 10 (44)
4. Big East (58)
5. ACC (73)
6. A-10 (124)
7. MW (136)
8. AAC (138)
9. WCC (153)
10. MVC (165)

Couple observations:
1. The Big East falling off is just factually inaccurate. The average last year for the league was 73 (I know Georgetown and DePaul really dragged down the average.) The league is better at the bottom but worse in the middle.
2. The Big East is still easily a power league in basketball. We are 15 spots ahead of the ACC, and the gap between the ACC and....A-10 is 51 spots. We are closer to the Big 10 than ACC.
3. The ACC sucks again.
4. The Big 12 is not the best league.

I signed up for KenPom a while ago just to look up one thing. If anyone thinks they'll actually use it, send me a DM and I'll send you the login. One person only.

KenPom average of new Pac-8: 100.

I thought people said you can't take much from the Kenpom rankings this early in the season since there's still a lot of last season's numbers in there.

That is true, but the KenPom numbers do seem to accurately describe what we are seeing so far.

  7. MWC (109)
  8. A10 (126)
  9. Amer (136)
  10. MVC (141)

Nice to see Seton Hall, DePaul, Butler and Georgetown win their last games but the losses by St. John's and Villanova yesterday were a real blow to the league.
Is Pitino asleep at the switch? If not for Dixon Villanova would be the last place team this year.
