And is that a complaint or is it a lament? :-)

They had 8 o'clock dinner reservations. Were not happy when the tip was delayed by 12 minutes thanks to that biiiiig Wyoming-New Mexico matchup (I'm surprised they don't do split coverage in those situations). With quarters the games seem to take about 10-15 minutes less than they used to, so I guess they had some cushion.

WCBB is the worst officiated sport in the USA! And the WNBA is worse if you can believe it! Incompetent!

At least there wasn't any 3 players mug Stewie when she's in the lane, and don't call a foul. South Florida that was their defense, especially number 20, and the ref's just let it go.

I don't believe that. Someone just told me that WCBB was worse.

Clearly you didn't watch the GBvAZ game! The zebras were the worst! Incompetent! Can't believe how bad these pros are!

I have to agree with ThisJustIn - not specific to last night's game but the season as a whole - the NFL has a serious problem partly created by an incredibly complex rule book, and exacerbated by the size of the field and the number of players and the physicality of 'legal' play. But refs making mistakes not just in identifying fouls, but in the rules that govern play this year was a disaster.

I also think basketball refs get a bad rap - the number of really badly called games is few and far between, and the number where the bad calls are unbalanced are even rarer.

I know my team never commits a foul and the other team is always a bunch of thugs and the refs never seem to see it that way!  But I can count on one hand the number of games that might have turned out badly because of the refs in 20 years, and if I am honest, I can probably count on the other hand the games that the refs helped turn out positively. That really is not that bad a record.

Not only are there 3 refs in the game (unlike 2 in the olden days) but also numerous monitor checks. How could anything possibly be missed? Good grief.

LOL! Three refs doesn't help the NBA folks! And MONITOR CHECKS? What a JOKE! They don't use them enough - and they don't use them to call fouls! The answer? FIRE the refs! Replace them with fans who know the game ('cause they know the game better than these incompetent refs!)! They each sit in front of a TV with a different angle on the game, let's say 10 total - 5 fans of each team, to keep out the bias - and they push a button when the see a foul. That would be SO much BETTER than these fools!

We thought that Norma Jones was the only official issued a whistle with a pea in it.

#20 is from Lisboa, Portugal. In Portugal, she is considered not aggressive enough, so she came to USA,
