6 PM - Cal Baptist vs Virginia Union

8:30 PM - Ashland vs Harding

The first game was very good, Virginia Union hanging on to win by four. Both of these teams are better than at least a third of the D1 schools out there, and very well coached.

Second game on at 8:30. Ashland is 35-0 and has two first-team All Americans in Laina Snyder and Andi Daugherty They have both the Coach of the year and the assistant coach of the year, an award that I didn't know even existed. They play a very up-tempo game, both offensively and defensively. Should be very interesting.

It's good basketball. Two of my boys played d-2 ball so i've watched quite a bit of it. The 2011 game between bellarmine and byu-hilo is still one of the best games i have seen. The players may be a liitle undersized and some a quarter step slow but they are skilled and can shoot.
