I know nothing of this kid, but I figured some of you do. He made some interesting comments. I see he’s highly rated, but have no idea if he fits, or if we would consider recruiting.

Pretty funny, but yeah no indication we've ever even watched him. I don't think we've watched much of the Puma circuit in general.

NJIT and Bakersfield are the teams to beat here. Next!

If I’m recruiting him, he doesn’t get an offer until he starts spelling his name with a y.

Tony can have a scholarship. Toni cannot.

Totally unrelated, but I've decided that if I ever hit the lottery I'm gonna donate millions for naming rights to a building at Emory University just to mess with them.

The Emery Library at Emory University.

My wife's name is Jody (she curses her mom especially being a spanish teacher) she might change it to a different spelling when her mom passes.

Coach Fishy: ... and one last thing, if you want to play for Connecticut, we are going need you to change the last letter in your first name to something less stupid.

Bryant: Why?

Coach Fishy: Exactly!

As long as it's after you pony up for on-campus football stadium, I support you.

I support this as an Emory alum.

Drop the Y and the I Ton Loc style and he gets a 10% bump on NIL.

In all seriousness nice to see where we stand in the eyes of top recruits, even if we don’t make a play.

I would take this guy.

I don’t know his motivations for wanting a. Duke or UConn offer, but a kid who wants to be here (and I don’t know that he does or just wants the most esteemed offers) can be more valuable than somebody you have to try and convince - a la Kemba vs Jennings.

Surprised nobody mentioned how cool it is that a top ten recruit mentioned us specifically as a game changer for his recruitment.

Never seen that before for a player of this caliber.

Yeah this is kind of strange, especially for people on this board who love talking about our reputation and cred with recruits.

I’d think people would be blowing up this thread. We’re being put on par with Duke in recruiting here. It’s been a 20 year cry fest from a lot of posters about respect, but instead it’s 15 posts about spelling.
