#21 LSU loses to unranked Tulane by 2.
#14 Oklahoma squeaks by unranked UNM by 2.
#9 Maryland beat unranked UMBC by 11.
#15 Rutgers beat unranked LaSalle by 13.
#13 Kentucky beat unranked Southern Miss. By 17.

Georgetown and DePaul beat their unranked opponents easily but Rodgers only scored 6 so her funk continues.

Could be some highly ranked teams were simply overrated.

G'town was up by 30 at the half. Sugar shot 2-3 in 20 minutes of PT. Unlike their 2 losses, her percentage was fine, but her shot total was unusually low.

And Mich St. loses again, this time to Florida Gulf Coast!

Well FGCU was actually pretty good last year.

We know why that was. It is because Mel Thomas is on FGC staff as Director of Basketball Operations. LINK

Early season jitters and blues...it will all come out in the wash and the creme will rise to the top.

Unfortunately, Rutgers has never been the kind of team to really blow away inferior opponents. The LaSalle game was closer than it should have been, but it was nice to see the team be able to fight through LaSalle's come back and pull away again. That's something Rutgers hasn't been very good at the past few years.

So you think there will be less jitters later on in conference and post season play?
