Roger Federer survived (and survived is the only way to describe it) 3-6, 7-6, 19-17 against Del Potro. Just a grueling match and a testament to Fed's grit and determination that he didn't fold after squandering opportunity after opportunity.
Sharapova easily beat Kirilenko to advance to the gold medal round.
Serena was absolutely dominant against world #1 Azarenka to secure at 6-1,6-2 victory. Sharapova is going to need something special to beat Serena.
Still to come: Murray-Djokovic. If Murray wins, the gold medal match will have a crazy vibe (different from the Wimby final). If Djoker wins, the gold medal match will also be for the world #1 ranking.
