Man, you could tell ND really wanted that too. I don't believe they have ever won a BE Tourney.

But they could win one from behind 20 feet. I've seen them do it in practice. ;)

I'd have to venture a guess that they are functional for them to be allowed...that is they are some type of supportive or compression socks for a medical need of hers. Otherwise, no way she gets away with that look!

Only one team rule I know of that would carry more weight and make the longer socks allowable. If Brianna has a visible tatoo (or two) on her mid-calf, the higher socks would cover it. Otherwise, compression socks makes sense too.

All of Wonk's messages are #666. :D

I think those are her knee pads and she just slid them down after the game.

Rasputin is back.
The Neva must have undergone its spring thaw.

I actually have a tie to Rasputin in real life! One of my Russian teachers at the Army Language School in Monterey, a certain Nikolai Nikolaevich Vorobyov, had dinner with Rasputin. A year later his uncle, the head of Tsar Nicholas's Don Cosssack Guard, took him to the hole in the ice in the Neva River where Rasputin was finally drowned.

It's also true that Nikolai Nikolaevich told our class one day that I had "the (Russian) vocabulary of the Devil himself!"

So I guess the 666 just comes naturally.
