To piggyback on a previous thread- best atmosphere in sports

Piggybacking on @Jaydumo20 thread about best pro setting what are your favorite gameday atmospheres in sports. It can be pro, college, high school, international etc.

In the US I don't think anything touches college football. I haven't been but night games at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg look sick.






Actually, day games at Lane Stadium also look sick.

My personal favorite was Camp Nou in Barcelona. Argentina's stadium was pretty wild too, I forget the name

Been to a SuperBowl and a Final 4 - Final 4 energy is crazy high and beats the SuperBowl for energy by more than a little.

Va Tech does look sick.

In college hoops…I don’t even want to say who I envy in terms of atmosphere whether it’s a conference game or early season cupcake.

In the US college football is head and shoulders above any other sport. Penn State at night, et al are worth watching just for the atmosphere. That handful of top venues.

I haven't been to any of the big home college football stadiums, OSU, Michigan, Penn State, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, I'm sure they are all epic and deserving.

I went to Neyland Stadium when UConn played there 2 seasons ago...it was without a doubt the coolest non-UConn sports experience I've ever had. Sold out crowd 103,000 people there to watch UConn football lose by 50 points. I can't even imagine what it would be like to go to a Saturday night game vs Bama, LSU, Georgia, etc.

Well to put it bluntly the best atmosphere in sports in any arena right when the UConn Huskies win a national championship.

Westfalenstadion for Der Klassiker (Borussia Dortmond v Bayern Munich). The Yellow Wall is the largest free standing terrace in the world and the pitch is surrounded by a 10' steel riot fence.

Definitely not lol. I went to Atleti vs Barca. It was stale compared even to a UConn game at the XL. Soccer in Argentina was a different story though.

Well to put it bluntly the best atmosphere in sports in any arena right when the UConn Huskies win a national championship.

The celebration is certainly a people watch event seeing young kids do dumb things.

I've lived in L.A, TN and have spent time in every state - at Johnny Cash levels- and nobody in this country is funnier, drunk or sober, than tri-state area sports fans. It's not even close.

Jets games, when they are bad, are very enjoyable lot scenes.

I went to a Maryland-Duke game at Cole in 02 when they won their championship. The atmosphere was absolutely insane and I’m sorry, there has never been a Gampel or XL game that I’ve attended that was remotely close.

Penn State football is next level.
